It all began with an anxious, scarred dog named Rocky. Surrendered to the shelter after being attacked by other dogs, Rocky was a shell of his former self. He needed constant care, rehabilitation, and a lot of love. But the stress of the shelter proved too much, and he was sadly euthanized.

The loss of Rocky left a deep mark on my heart. I knew I wanted to do more to help animals in need, so I decided to pursue a career in animal welfare. I started as an unlicensed veterinarian technician at the SPCA. In this role, I assisted veterinarians with various procedures and provided daily care to animals in our shelter. I've worked with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and behaviors, gaining invaluable experience in animal husbandry.

To provide even more comprehensive care, I became certified in grooming. I understand the importance of maintaining a healthy coat and skin for a pet's overall well-being. As a volunteer groomer at the SPCA, I've had the privilege of pampering countless furry friends.

As an Adoption Consultant at Roanoke Valley SPCA where I matched animals with their forever home humans, I've come to understand the unique needs and personalities of each animal. I'm committed to providing compassionate care and helping them thrive. Whether it's finding them a loving home, grooming them to perfection, or assisting with their veterinary needs, I'm dedicated to making a positive impact on their lives.
